LOCAL TRIVIA
Trivia
The name of Legazpi was patterned from the name of the Adelantado Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. The Legazpi with a "z" is the official name of the city. However, locals would refer their place as Legaspi with the "s." This might be because of the similar sounds the letters produce or the fact that older versions of the Filipino alphabet does not contain "z."
